Homefront review + writer feels

So I got a comment on AO3 with a link to a reader's Tumblr post with fic reviews they apparently post on a monthly basis. It's one of my favourite comments/reviews I've ever gotten.

[This is an image of the post with my fic.]

I wrote Homefront, and I think this is one of the nicest reviews I’ve gotten on any of my fics:
I don’t normally read fictions that portray BTS members are parents (not my thing) but this one grabbed my heart. This is a multi-layered piece that surrounds a soldier (Jimin) who’s past and military obligations overlap with his life as a single father. I love the underlying theme of finding love when and where you least expect it…because it reminds the reader there’s always hope!
This reader took a chance on a story, even though it had an element they usually don’t enjoy and probably try to avoid, and it sounds like they were pleasantly surprised and managed to empathize with my characterizations. They still enjoyed this story. That’s so important to me, as a writer, and I feel more confident with my writing and stories when I hear from readers like this. It makes me feel like I’m doing something right. I feel that, while we have our preferences, it’s more often the presentation we don’t like rather than the element itself.
